Valencia, in brief

“Five venues, five formats - a retail-park mega-club, a nightly-themed pub, a members' house, a weekend disco and a mandatory-nudity sauna - all inside one Mediterranean city.”
Valencia doesn't try to out-scale Barcelona or Madrid. It does something more interesting: it puts five genuinely different formats inside one walkable-plus-one-cab-ride city, so a visitor can pick the kind of night they want rather than just the venue. The flagship, Paladium, is a 1,300+ m2 building in a Torrent retail park with 200-plus parking spaces, two jacuzzis, a kitted-out dungeon, a glory-hole corridor, a weekend X cinema and a naturist terrace - the biggest swinger building in the region. Review aggregators describe it as spacious with well-differentiated areas and praised staff, "among the better options in Valencia" on a fair quality-to-price basis (per top-rated.online's review summary).
The five formats
The scene's whole personality is that no two doors work the same way. Pricing, audience and access shift venue to venue, so it pays to match the format to the night you want.
| Venue | What it is | Who goes | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paladium (Torrent) | 1,300+ m2 retail-park mega-club: dungeon, X cinema, jacuzzis, naturist terrace | Couples-forward; single men capped | Out of town - drive or cab; single men reserve via a dedicated WhatsApp line |
| Flamingos (Calle Josep Aguirre) | Central pub that re-themes every night (trios, lingerie, singles, relax) | Whoever the night's theme draws | Strict walk-in, no reservations; contact by WhatsApp only |
| Open-Minded (Joaquin Costa 41) | Four-floor, 1,000+ m2 members' club, roots to 2000 (ex-Swinger Kiss) | Members and vetted guests | 300 EUR membership or 100 EUR guest day-pass; worth contacting ahead |
| Amanecer (Plaza Gloria Fuertes) | Weekend disco-and-sauna club, accessibly priced | Budget-minded couples and single women | Couples flat 30 EUR, single women 10 EUR; weekend only |
| Cap Valencia (Calle Juan Llorens) | Naturist + liberal spa-sauna (Asociacion Alina) | Naturist-curious; sauna crowd | Full nudity mandatory from the changing rooms on; non-alcoholic drinks only |
Couples and single women have the easiest, cheapest access everywhere; single men are admitted almost everywhere but pay a clear premium - roughly 40-70 EUR - and at Paladium must book on a capped basis.
The odd one out is Cap Valencia, run by Asociacion Alina, which bills itself as Spain's first naturist-and-liberal association. It's a French-style mixed spa: a real thermal circuit - Finnish sauna, hammam, jacuzzi - bolted onto a dark room and private rooms, with mandatory nudity. It reads more like wellness-with-an-edge than a nightclub, and that's the point.
Single men, plainly
Valencia is more open to single men than Barcelona's upscale houses, but the structure is consistent: easy access at a premium. Flamingos and Amanecer admit them every operating night; Paladium caps them and routes bookings through a separate WhatsApp number; Open-Minded folds them into membership; Cap Valencia sets access by management on the day. None of this is gatekeeping for its own sake - it's how couples-forward rooms stay couples-forward.
Myth: A swinger 'sauna' is just a club with a sauna prop. Reality: Cap Valencia runs as a naturist association with a full thermal circuit and mandatory nudity enforced from the changing rooms onward - it serves only non-alcoholic drinks and is a wellness venue first (cap-valencia.com).
The legal footing is the same national framework as the rest of Spain: consensual partner-swapping among adults is legal, the 'liberal' club model (you pay for entry and drinks, not for sex) sits outside the criminal law, and the minimum age is 18. Because that footing rests on the absence of paid sex, any solicitation for money in exchange for sex is a red flag and a reason to leave.

Etiquette & law
- Legal age is 18+; bring government photo ID.
- Legal status: Legal. Clubs operate as private, members-only venues.
- Consent is explicit and ongoing. Always ask; no means no.
- Photography is prohibited inside almost every venue.
- Consensual partner-swapping among adults is legal in Spain, and Valencia is governed by the same national framework as Barcelona and Madrid: prostitution is never a crime for the person who practises it, and the swinger ('liberal') club model - where people pay for entry and drinks, not for sex - sits outside the criminal law. What the Spanish Criminal Code punishes is coercive or exploitative third-party conduct: Article 187 penalises forcing someone into prostitution through violence, intimidation or deception, or profiting from another person's prostitution under exploitative conditions (with prison terms of roughly 2-5 years), and Article 188 covers prostitution involving minors or persons with disabilities. The minimum age is 18 (Spain's age of majority); the venues are ordinary licensed hospitality businesses that serve alcohol (the naturist sauna Cap Valencia, by contrast, offers only complimentary non-alcoholic drinks). There is no specific national statute regulating swinger venues themselves - a regulatory gap rather than a prohibition.
