Rotterdam, in brief

Most city guides on this directory point you to a district. Rotterdam points you to a motorway. The honest version of this scene, stated plainly by Dutch sources, is that there is no swinger club and no large lifestyle party inside the city — what Rotterdam has in-town are commercial paid-service 'sex clubs' (Club OQ, Lido, Whites and similar), which are a different category entirely (City Guide Rotterdam). The real venue, and per Dutch lifestyle directories the only true swinger club in all of Zuid-Holland, is Fun4Two in Moordrecht, roughly 15–20 km east in the Zuidplas polder (parenclub.eu). The model is the classic Dutch one: a single fee covers every house drink, the restaurant food and wine, and the whole sauna/jacuzzi/tantra/dance-floor complex, with an overnight cottage on site (Fun4Two).
| What you're choosing between | What it is | Who goes | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fun4Two, regular nights (Fri/Sat/Sun) | The region's flagship couples club; themed playrooms, sauna, restaurant | Couples and single women | All-inclusive door about 109–159 EUR/couple by night; single women 55–80 EUR. Couples-and-women only |
| Fun4Two 'Hardcore Night vs Gigolina's' | The one single-man night, 4–5 times a year | Couples, single women, and capped single men | Exactly 75 single-man tickets, sold in advance, sell out. The only door for unaccompanied men |
| Rotterdam city 'sex clubs' (OQ, Lido, Whites) | Commercial paid-service / strip venues | General nightlife clientele | NOT lifestyle venues — different category. Don't confuse them with the scene |
| Polyamorieborrel, Café Tiki's | Recurring open ENM/poly social in the city centre | The local polyamory/ENM community | A mixer and conversation, not a play night — the low-key way in |
Fun4Two is discreet by geography as much as by rule: it sits out in the polder with its own parking and a firm no-phones, no-cameras line beyond the lockers, so the privacy is structural, not just a posted notice.
The house rule is stated in three words — Nee is nee, no means no — and the dress code is real: smart on arrival, lingerie for women after 22:30, men in boxers and no shirts, everyone changed by 23:30 (Fun4Two information page). First-time guests register in person with photo ID (18+) for a six-month temporary membership. Dutch is the working language; English is widely understood.
Single men, plainly
This is the part most worth getting right before you drive out. On all standard nights Fun4Two admits couples and single women only. Unaccompanied men get in on exactly one kind of evening — the 'Hardcore Night vs Gigolina's' Friday — held just 4–5 times a year, hard-capped at 75 single-man tickets that must be bought in advance and routinely sell out (Fun4Two information page). There is no walk-up route for a solo man.
Myth: The Netherlands is liberal about sex, so a city the size of Rotterdam must have a stack of swingers clubs to choose from. Reality: Rotterdam has none inside the city — the parenclub model is a licensed 'seksbedrijf' that municipalities zone to the edge of town, which is exactly why the region's one real club sits in a polder twenty minutes out (City Guide Rotterdam).
If you want the city itself rather than the drive, the ENM and polyamory community does meet in-town — most visibly the recurring Polyamorieborrel Rotterdam at Café Tiki's on Hartmansstraat, an open, informal social run by Stichting Polyamorie Nederland (polyamorie.nl). It's a conversation, not a play venue, and it's the gentlest on-ramp Rotterdam offers.

- Legal age is 18+; bring government photo ID.
- Legal status: Legal. Clubs operate as private, members-only venues.
- Consent is explicit and ongoing. Always ask; no means no.
- Photography is prohibited inside almost every venue.
- Swinging between consenting adults is legal throughout the Netherlands. A parenclub (swingers club) is classified as a 'seksbedrijf' (sex business) under municipal by-laws (the APV) because it commercially provides space for sexual contact, even though guests pay an entry fee rather than per sexual act - so the operator must hold an 'exploitatievergunning seksbedrijf' (sex-business operating permit), can be confined to designated business/edge-of-town zones, and is subject to Bibob integrity screening. The minimum age at venues is 18 (the Dutch age of majority); the higher 21-year minimum sometimes seen in Dutch sex-work legislation applies to prostitution/sex workers, not to swingers' clubs. Venues are licensed to serve alcohol. The key legal pivot: these clubs earn from admission and the bar (Fun4Two's model is an all-inclusive door fee), not from paid sex, which keeps them distinct from Rotterdam's licensed prostitution venues. Note that the area's flagship, Fun4Two, lies in the municipality of Zuidplas (Moordrecht), not the City of Rotterdam, so its permit sits with that municipality.
