Naples, in brief

“There is no swinger club in the city of Naples - the scene is a ring of unmarked drive-to clubs out on the Nola plain and toward Avellino, and that geography is the whole story.”
Naples is an Italian lifestyle city with a twist of geography: the scene exists, but it doesn't live in the city. Central venues have historically drawn police attention, so the whole thing has migrated out to the suburbs and the province - mostly the eastern agricultural belt around Nola (San Vitaliano, Palma Campania) and out toward Avellino. The upshot is simple and non-negotiable: this is a drive-to scene. There is no large, openly-operating swinger club inside the historic centre, and pretending otherwise wastes your evening.
Like everywhere in Italy, the venues are legally associazioni private, not 'clubs'. You buy a membership card and show ID before anything else, the doors carry no public advertising, and phones go in the locker on the way in. Operator-facing legal explainers spell it out: no direct street access, no public signage, members-only entry (Studio Allievi).
The lay of the land
Three venues anchor the scene, all reached by car. Olimpo 2 - Therme & Privè Club in Forino (Avellino, 40-45 km east off the A16) is the de-facto flagship, billed as the largest transgressive club privè in Campania and southern Italy - roughly 3,000 m2 holding a sauna, Turkish bath, two hydromassage pools, two restaurants, three bars and a disco, with named nights and a couples-only Wednesday (Olimpo 2). Closer in, Glamour Club Privè on the Nola provincial road in San Vitaliano (25 km east) is one of the longer-established couples-oriented venues, known locally for an unusual 'territorial' approval filter, an annual membership, a strict no-phones rule and an upper floor of private rooms (Lollove, New Club Glamour). Club Privè L'Estasi e Adrenalina in Palma Campania (about 30 km east, part of the Exclusive Club Privè group) runs late Wednesday-to-Sunday evenings plus a Tuesday daytime slot (Exclusive Club Privè).
| Venue | Where | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Olimpo 2 | Forino (Avellino), about 40-45 km E off the A16 | The flagship; about 3,000 m2 spa-led complex with two restaurants, three bars, a disco. Couples-only Wednesday; free weekday spa entry for couples promoted (official) |
| Glamour Club Privè | San Vitaliano (NA), about 25 km E on the Nola road | Long-running, strongly couples-oriented; couples-led 'territorial' approval filter, annual membership, private rooms upstairs, no phones (Lollove) |
| Estasi e Adrenalina | Palma Campania (NA), about 30 km E beyond Nola | Part of Exclusive Club Privè group; open late Wed-Sun plus a Tuesday daytime slot (group site) |
How entry actually works
The membership card isn't a formality - it's the legal mechanism that lets the place exist. The pattern is consistent: every venue is members-only, couples and single women have the easiest access everywhere, and single-male admission and price are night-dependent and almost always quoted only by phone or WhatsApp. Prices are rarely posted online; Olimpo 2 publishes essentially one figure (free spa entry for couples from 15:30 Monday and Thursday) and quotes the rest directly (Olimpo 2). Glamour's annual membership and Estasi's door are confirmed the same way. The single most useful habit here: call ahead to confirm the night, the door, and whether single men are admitted before you drive out.
The two house rules every Italian club privè repeats: discrezione e rispetto - discretion and respect. Phones stay in the locker, ID is checked at 18, and a 'no' is a 'no', full stop (Studio Allievi).
Beyond the clubs, Naples carries a quieter consent-forward thread. The national network Rete Poliamore notes Naples as the most active city in southern Italy for public polyamory meetups - a useful entry point that has nothing to do with the drive-to club scene (poliamore.net).
Myth: A Naples 'club privè' is just a euphemism for a paid-sex venue. Reality: Legally these are non-profit private associations, and the law draws a hard line locally: the moment a venue organises paid sex or uses 'coppie pilota' (decoy couples) it crosses into facilitating prostitution and loses its cover. That's exactly what triggered enforcement here - the 'La Greca' case near Licola and a 2021 carabinieri raid on a Giugliano club - so the established, association-run clubs that keep to an entry/membership model are the ones that stay open (Internapoli, Il Meridiano News).

- Legal age is 18+; bring government photo ID.
- Legal status: Legal in practice. Clubs operate as private, members-only venues.
- Consent is explicit and ongoing. Always ask; no means no.
- Photography is prohibited inside almost every venue.
- Swinging between consenting adults is lawful in Italy when it takes place in a genuinely private setting, and the Naples-area clubs operate accordingly: each is constituted as a non-profit private association (associazione/circolo), so a personal membership card is required, ID is checked, and the premises operate behind members-only doors without public advertising - which is why these venues are unmarked and sit in the suburbs and surrounding province. Italian case law treats 'atti osceni' (obscene acts) as an offence only when committed in a place exposed to the public (Art. 527 c.p.), not inside a closed, members-only private club, which is the legal basis the scene relies on. The grey zone is real and locally enforced: a club privè stays lawful only while guests pay an entry/membership contribution and interact among themselves, and it crosses into the crime of facilitating/exploiting prostitution if the venue arranges paid sex, uses paid 'coppie pilota' (decoy couples) or hosts sex workers - which is exactly what has triggered Guardia di Finanza and carabinieri operations against venues in the Naples area (the 'La Greca' case near Licola, and a 2021 raid on a Giugliano club). Minimum age is 18, government photo ID is checked at the door, venues serve alcohol, and phones and recording devices are banned inside as a near-universal house rule. The status is therefore best described as legal-in-practice/tolerated rather than expressly regulated.
